Dr. David Samore: Okeeheelee Middle School Principal named Florida Principal of the Year

Dr. SamoreDr. Samore has been named Florida’s principal of the year by a statewide organization of middle and high school administrators. Dr. Samore will also be a candidate for the national award announced in October. Dr. Samore was selected by the Florida Association of School Administrators.

Summer Compass

CompassSummer COMPASS will run from June 8 – 18, 2015
Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

General Information:

  1. Dress code policy is in effect.

  2. Breakfast and Lunch will be served. All meals are free for students.

  3. The program is an opportunity to remediate a students grade(s) of an F and achieve enough points to be promoted to the next grade!

  4. Failure to complete the program may result in retention!

  5. Students need to attend ALL sessions until they have completed the course.

  6. 50% of your work may be done on a computer outside of school and hasten the time it takes them to complete.

Lumarid Burgos Rivera: Dwyer Award Winner

Luma Burgos DwyerThe William T. Dwyer Awards for Excellence in Education was established in 1985 to honor outstanding educators from public and private schools in Palm Beach County. Teachers are nominated by their peers at individual schools.

Mrs. Burgos was chossen as one of the five finalists for middle school. A judging committee interviews each of the 5 finalists and one winer is choosen. Mrs. Burgos receives a $3,000 check and a personalized plaque. Okeeheelee Middle School will also receive $1,250 for the school to use for educational purposes.
